Big Beautiful Belmont

The new beautiful Belmont Park just celebrated opening weekend, and history was made. This has been 3 years in the process and over $500 million to pull off these renovations. While we did not have any Dream Maker Racing horses racing, my son Adrien and I enjoyed it just as much, and don’t worry, we will have our chance to meet up at Belmont and experience it together soon.

The weekend kicked off with a sold-out crowd on Friday generating almost $14 million in wagering revenue. It also featured the G1 Jockey Club Gold Cup, where Forever Young showed his continued dominance in the sport bringing his record to 12 wins over 16 starts. Friday also featured a live performance from Dierks Bently and a ribbon cutting ceremony by NY governor Kathy Hochul.

While the entirety of the grandstand is not fully open, the first two floors were available this weekend with the remaining three set to be finished in the spring. These hospitality rooms include dining areas, that can be booked on race days.

I can’t wait to have all of the Dream Maker Racing members out here in the near future, but the NYRA has made some changes to ticketing for owners, so be on the look out for an email explaining the new changes.
