Dream Maker Racing’s Current Offerings

Picking our Dream Maker horses is a dynamic process. Weeks before the auction we spend countless hours going through sales catalogs marking our initial interests based on pedigree. Our geneticist will confirm matings and seek out the best "nicks" concentrating on proven sires and deep stakes caliber female families. Before the big day arrives all of our horses are carefully inspected by our bloodstock team which includes watching them walk, gathering background information and sometimes simply getting a feel for the presence of each horse. After viewing hundreds of horses, the time comes to make a shortlist. Meetings are held with all involved, notes are compared, decisions are made, and the list shrinks, pinpointing our top choices right up until auction day. On the day of the sale, our favorite horses are vetted from head to toe by the top veterinarians in the business. We follow them as they step into the auction ring. The bidding begins, our hearts are pounding, the pressure mounts, will we get the horse of our dreams?

After all the hours we put in, we are able to walk away with the equine athlete we fell in love with and couldn’t be more excited to have.

2YO FILLY

I am thrilled to announce our acquisition of Hip 184 from the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic May sale. This bay filly is a beautifully balanced, aerodynamic specimen built like a bullet that shoots across the track. By Freud and out of the proven stakes-producer Exclusively Yours, she possesses limitless potential across various surfaces and distances. As a daughter of the most prolific sire in the history of the NY breeding program, she is eligible for the prestigious $2.3 million NY Stallion Stakes Series. Between boosted purses for state-breds and a new $3.2 million race series, her earning capacity is truly exceptional. With the excitement of Saratoga and the upcoming opening of the state-of-the-art Belmont Park in Fall 2026, Dream Maker Racing continues to keep its finger on the pulse of New York racing. She is another carefully selected star ready to achieve greatness!

From a pedigree perspective:

Our filly is by Freud, a full brother to European Horse of the Year Giant's Causeway, who stands as one of the most successful regional stallions in American racing history. Based on his career in New York, he was a six-time leading sire in the state and sired over 70 black-type stakes winners including multiple millionaires and multiple grade one stakes winners. This family's dam Exclusively Yours is a proven stakes producer. She has already produced Howdyoumakeyourmoney a 2YO stakes winner of over $200,000 and Moisienko who earned over $700,000. Both ran open company and both won as two-year-olds. Her progeny has earned over $1 million dollars so far. 

From a conformation perspective:

If you notice from the pictures of the horses we purchased for Dream Maker Racing, they all have a very attractive head, wide-set eyes, which translates into a large mature throat latch. This provides maximum airflow. Your eye travels down the beautifully shaped neck to a big solid shoulder. She has a beautiful, smooth topline which tapers back to a big, round, powerful rump. Overall, considering the length of her neck and the angle from her shoulder to her hip, she is beautifully balanced. Her stride will be a direct result of beautifully measured mechanics. Starting from the bottom, she has a healthy hoof, and her pastern angle perfectly matches her shoulder angle. She has nice short cannon bones which in her case results in a long forearm. This is matched by a long, powerful gaskin powered by a broad and substantial stifle. Our horses are all consistent because this is what we look for. In this case, it all comes together as a beautiful fluid stride that glides over the ground as opposed to pounding the ground. She should last a long time and be sound and quick. Like a stealth fighter jet!

From a mindset, demeanor and personality perspective:

This gorgeous filly is a little bit sassy and a little bit aggressive. You don't wanna get in her way. If she wants to go, you're going with her. It's not that her engine is always running but when you turn the key and she starts up, she's gone. She can be very nice in the stall and very pleasant to be with but just in the two or three times that we saw her being shown at the walk she was a handful. I'd say her demeanor was a little bit like a colt, but as soon as she stopped, and you approached her, you could pet her and nuzzle her just like a little pussycat. This is the type of filly that will become cool and collected until you tighten the girth and then she's all business and the game is on.

We were very lucky to purchase hip number 116 at the OBS spring two-year-old in training sale. This Big attractive chestnut filly by Epicenter out of San Saria (IRE) by Austrailia is an outstanding specimen in so many ways. 

With the new, beautiful Belmont Park opening in Fall 2026 and looking forward to racing on multiple racing surfaces which will include the addition of the all weather track, Dream Maker Racing will be ready. 

From a pedigree perspective: 

Our filly is by Epicenter a magnificent horse in his own right having earned just shy of $3,000,000 and winning the Travers and Jim Dandy at Saratoga! This filly's immediate female family includes many high-class turf, dirt and all-weather track graded stakes winners. I purchased her with that thought in mind.  If you're looking for a horse that will be competitive for the big purses in New York, has the aptitude and ability to compete at the highest level, and possesses the versatility to compete on multiple surfaces, this is your horse.

From a conformation perspective:

Physically, she is muscular with a big shoulder and a huge powerful hip. The big shoulder and deep girth indicates to me that she has a big set of lungs. Horses need to breathe or they cannot run. Speaking of breathing, she has a giant airway something I would like to call a Lincoln tunnel airway. Her throat is larger than average, allowing for a large volume of air exchange.

From a mechanical and locomotion standpoint, she has a long stride, a big reach with her front legs and a nice over step with her hind legs. Just watching her walk, tells you that she has a big stride. When you see her gallop this is evident in the amount of ground she covers. Her time for the gallop show was 10 flat. But it's not always about the time (and as they say, time only counts when you're doing it); it's the way she did it. It doesn't look like she's going that fast, but the clock tells us that she actually is! Her gallop out splits were exceptional. This tells us she can already carry her speed a distance of ground without tiring. She’s a MONSTER under tack!!  

From a mindset, demeanor and personality perspective:

This gorgeous filly has a great head on her shoulders. Very kind, gentle and focused. No excess energy. No dancing around in the stall, and no shrilling like a parakeet every time a horse goes by. I look for all these things because demeanor is so important. It tells you whether you have an intelligent horse, a classy horse, or a flighty one.  Horses with class conserve their energy for the race and win!

Welcome to the introduction of our exciting new racing prospect, offered by Dream Maker Racing! He is a big, strapping colt by the racehorse sire Connect (by Curlin), out of the Stakes-winning and Graded Stakes-producing mare Sunset Ridge. The first foal out of Sunset Ridge, Dolomite, trained by Chad Brown, is already Graded Stakes placed in the Grade 2 $250,000 Demoiselle at Aqueduct as a 2-year-old, and added another Stakes placing this year as a 3-year-old in the $200,000 Fleet Indian Stakes at Saratoga. Dolomite has current earnings of $181,000 in just five starts!

This colt is the second foal out of this young mare, who already looks to be a top-class producer of racehorses. The breeder of this fine athletic specimen raced the dam, who earned over $270,000 with four wins, including a Stakes victory. They breed to race and own Dolomite, as they keep the fillies and sell the colts. This was not a haphazard commercial mating, but a horse carefully bred to be run in NY, from a family of runners.

Introducing one of our newest Dream Maker Racing acquisition: a yearling colt by Mendelssohn out of Alabama Bound! This colt is the fourth foal out of the mare, who raced for Dream Maker Racing and won races at all three NYRA tracks including Saratoga Race Course, Belmont Park, and Aqueduct. With earnings of $216,954, she built a resume of longevity and reliability shown throughout her lifetime record of 33: 3-3-7, meaning she ran in the money 40% in her entire career. Her continued presence at the elite levels of NY-bred competition speaks volumes about her exceptional durability while staying consistently sound. Part of her career included a third-place finish in open company against other mares highlighted by Puca, who went on to produce two classic winners: 2023 Kentucky Derby winner Mage and 2024 Belmont Stakes winner Dornoch. Puca has also produced Baeza, who was third in both the Derby and Belmont in 2025.

His sire, Mendelssohn, is a half brother to Into Mischief, who is a six-time reigning champion General Sire. Into Mischief broke the all-time earnings record for a sire in North America in 2025. He has already been represented by 5 group stakes winners in 2025 including Group 1 winners Created and Lucky Magic. Outside of North America, Mendelssohn has become a sire of note in Chile, where he has numerous Group 2 and Group 3 winners.

He is currently getting Virginia Certified, is a Registered NY Bred, and is fully nominated to the Breeder's Cup. We’re proud to offer this handsome, well-balanced yearling colt to our roster as a perfect choice for anyone looking to grow their stable or begin their journey in racehorse ownership!
